The 2001 Hyundai Tiburon was a HCD-II notion car and got great styling cues of a sport coupe. It borrowed many elements from other Hyundai sport cars.
Prologue
It was launched at Detroit Auto Show during 2001 and became popular because of its styling and power. At that time, it was marketed at a price of approximately $900 – $2,800.
Tiburon vs Other Hyundai Models
From 1995, Hyundai stopped the production of sport coupes, but the 2001 Hyundai Tiburon was the first sport car after the company started producing sporty models. It shared the design platform of Elantra and Hyundai designed a Beta engine along with all features of remaining cars. Even had plenty of new features, which were not seen on other Hyundai models; the 2001 Hyundai Tiburon was offered at considerably lower price too.
Interiors
The interior of the 2001 Hyundai Tiburon carried the sporty look, but the low ceilings and low seats made the tall drivers feel a little uncomfortable. Even though it had much space at the rear seat, the head of the tall passengers would touch the window if they did not bend a bit.
The trunk was fairly spacious along with a tailgate that was designed to allow the passengers to access the trunk much more easily than the conventional trunks. Although it was easy to use the back seat, the front seats did not come to usual positions effortlessly.
